Reptiles Looking for a Home

Every reptile here was surrendered by someone who could no longer keep them. We get them healthy and settled, then match them with the right home. Meet the animals currently with us.

Adopting a reptile in the GTA

Every animal on this page was surrendered by someone who could no longer keep them. None were bred for sale. They come to us through moves, allergies, changed circumstances, and the ordinary fact that a ball python often outlives the situation it was bought into. We settle them, sort out any health issues, and then look for the right home rather than the first one.

Each profile is honest about temperament, care needs and the experience level required — if a species is demanding, we say so. Rehoming fees run roughly $50–$100 and go toward what that animal cost us in food, substrate, enclosures and veterinary care. It is cost recovery, not profit.

How adoption works

Four steps, and no pressure at any of them.

1 · Apply

Tell us about your setup and experience. We read every application ourselves.

2 · Talk it through

We go over husbandry, real costs, and what this animal specifically needs.

3 · Meet them

Approved adopters meet the animal in person in the GTA before committing.

4 · Go home

Pickup is local and in person — we never ship. Questions afterwards are always welcome.

New to reptiles?

Good — several of these animals make excellent first reptiles, and we would far rather spend an hour explaining what ownership actually involves than place an animal into a setup that is not ready. Leopard geckos, corn snakes and bearded dragons are all reasonable starting points. Large constrictors and most tarantulas are not.

Not seeing the right animal? New ones arrive regularly, and our reptile rescue page explains how rehoming works across the GTA — including the other Ontario rescues worth contacting.

Need to rehome a reptile?

Life changes, and sometimes a reptile needs a new home. We take surrenders without judgment and make sure every animal lands somewhere safe. Reach out and we’ll help.
